Join the world famous London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) at the Barbican Hall on Sunday 31 May. Presenter Paul Rissmann will lead you on a whirlwind trip around the globe: through a ferocious Italian storm, across the vast African desert and into a haunted Russian fairground. There is even a bit of audience participation with a specially arranged version of Beethoven’s Ode to Joy. The concert will also feature a brand new film by digital animator Victor Craven which will be shown during an exhilarating performance of Bernstein’s Candide Overture, and the show will finish with a quick visit to Hogwarts!

Between the 27 and 29 of May poetry sensation Laura Dockrill will be performing some of her new poems for children. Gluemouth is a brand new show that hopes to encourage and inspire young poets. At the end Laura’s performance she will invite anyone aged seven and up to take the mic. If you are interested in performing you must get to the Clore Ballroom at 11am to sign up.

After last year’s huge success the Little Angel Theatre in Islington will be holding their summer party on 4 July. The afternoon will be full of activites including puppet making, backstage theatre tours, free performances of “Handa’s Hen”, puppetry demonstrations and even home made cakes!
The afternoon begins with a parade of giant puppets made by the Saturday Puppet Club. The theme for this years party is “Angels and Demons” so don’t forget to dress up. And best of all the event is FREE.
