The Polka Theatre’s autumn season launches today with their brand new play for 8-11 year olds ‘The Ride of your Life’.

The show is written and directed by the award-winning Mick Gordon and forms part of Darwin200, celebrating the life and work of Charles Darwin.

Join Charlie and his dog Fitz as they jump onboard The Ride of Your Life – a rollercoaster which will send you back in time, from the beginnings of life, through dinosaurs to DNA, and on into the future. How did we get here…and what might lie ahead?

It will help answer all the big questions as well as some smaller ones too!

Will Fitz find a way to make himself more handsome? Will Charlie get his homework in on time? And will life ever be the same again?
